Each year, Healthy Futures of Texas recognizes two individuals and one organization for their contributions to the fields of adolescent sexual and reproductive health. Nominations are currently being accepted until March 31, 2023. Honorees will be recognized at the 12th Annual Symposium on April 24, 2023, in Houston.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award was created to recognize an exceptional individual under the age of 30 who has become an emerging leader in the field of adolescent health in Texas through service, leadership, advocacy, or research. This individual has shown significant advancement in contribution to the field and increased levels of leadership and responsibility. People at the forefront of this work and those who have shown exceptional growth deserve gratitude for their achievements.
Changemaker Award
The Changemaker Award was created to recognize exceptional individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the fields of teen pregnancy prevention and adolescent health in Texas through service, leadership, advocacy, or research. People at the forefront of this work, and those who have dedicated the better part of their careers and lives to improving adolescent health outcomes deserve gratitude for their achievements.
Community Partner Award
This award recognizes an organization that has made outstanding contributions to the fields of teen pregnancy prevention and adolescent health and should have a sustained record of successfully addressing these issue areas locally, regionally or statewide. Nominated organizations may be public, private or not-for-profit and represent education, social welfare, medicine, a community organization or other appropriate entity.
