Onyeomachi Okoro, OTS, a doctoral occupational therapy student at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, will discuss the occupational nature of sexuality and how it can be affected by injury or physical disability. Okoro will define the occupational therapist’s role in addressing sexuality with clients and will highlight the importance of inclusive sexual education for youth with physical disabilities. Onyeomachi is completing her capstone project at Healthy Futures of Texas to advocate for disability-inclusive sexual education for youth with physical disabilities.  The event is free. Continuing education credits, including SW, CPE, LPC, and CHW Uncertified, are available only to those who participate in the live event.
