Healthy Futures Film Instruction Sessions

Through partnership with the City of Dallas and former Hockaday high school film teacher Glenys Quick, Healthy Futures will be offering three free filmmaking workshops for high school students so they make films for our 8th Annual Student Film Contest which seeks 3 minute films from Texas High School Students on the theme for this year: “What does access to birth control mean to you?”

February 16; 5:30-8:30pm: Glenys Quick will provide brief instruction on how to edit a film, this part will be live and virtual. Teens participating in person will then go in groups, and have access to 3-4 editing suites at the facility where they can work on their films with the assistance of Ms. Quick. On request, Ms. Quick will work with students outside the Dallas area, virtually.

February 28; 5:30-8:30pm: This will be a finishing session during which teens can edit, or even do some filming at the studios in the facility to work on their submissions. Ms. Quick will be on hand to assist and answer questions.
